NEXT-AIR: Next-Generation Learning Support through AI and Robotics

Background

NEXT-AIR is an international collaboration between Kyushu University and National Taiwan University to explore how AI and robotics can support next-generation education. It brings together experts, young researchers, and graduate students to develop multimodal learning analytics, design adaptive intervention models, and formulate human-centered design principles for next-generation embodied learning.

Overview

The network focuses on three interconnected research directions:

  • Multimodal learning analytics for understanding learning processes across behavioral, cognitive, and affective dimensions
  • Adaptive intervention models that respond to learners’ evolving needs in real time
  • Human-centered design principles for next-generation embodied learning with AI and robotics

Outcomes are intended to inform educational practice, cross-institutional collaboration, and future intervention design in technology-rich learning environments.
